A Sportsman In His Youth Himself, Bhai Gopi Chand Gehlot Wants Gurgaon To Have The Best Sports Facil

Sports and sportsmanship develop the character of a nation, as is evidenced by the education that was provided to the royal students even during the era of Mahabharata in the hallowed grounds of Gurugram. But, unfortunately the residents of modern day Gurgaon lacked a speciality sports center. There was ofcourse Nehru Sports Stadium but it had only mediocre facilities.
Bhai Gopi Chand Gehlot, himself a sportsperson in his youth, wants to bring supersports to Gurgaon. So, a high-class astroturf was added to Nehru Stadium in which our National Hockey team practices before taking part in international events.
Another super sports complex, Chaudhary Devi Lal Sports Complex, was created which houses
- the most modern cricket stadium good for any international event,
- a 5-star sports hostel for upcoming sportspersons,
- superspeciality arean for volleyball, basketball, and tennis.
Many state and national level volleyball and other sports championships have been held in the Sports comples. The sports complex has also been host to Ranji Matches and other national cricket matches.
